Creation & Wonder
As a nature immersion study, we believe in the intelligent design of creation & all of its beauty and wonder. As such, many of our guides and curriculum are inherently faith-based. However, we accept nature enthusiasts from any background & belief and our program is not specific to any church or denomination, nor do we dive into theology. Programs may reference our Creator & the creation throughout our study, as we want to be authentic to who we are and Who created the beauty of nature around us. Wildlife 30A has been established to help us reconnect to one of the many ways that the Creator has revealed to us His existence through what He has created.

Jacob + Bethany Murphy
Program Directors & Nature Mentors
Jacob grew up in the woods - building forts, making traps, tracking animals and exploring new waters fishing. He is a man's-man: brave yet not reckless, willing to venture where others wouldn't dare, thoughtful and decisive in decision making, and gives his all in anything he is learning. He is also extremely emotionally intelligent which stems from his studies in psychology and keen observation. The students LOVE being around Jake because he naturally brings others in on being present, joyful and challenging themselves.
Bethany grew up in the desert of Arizona, off-roading with her dad and grandpa on the weekends grew her desire to explore the road less traveled. In her evenings, she would sit in the pasture watching horses. Wonder grew from ‘watching’ in that pasture - birds, insects, plants, flowers - there is a mystery to be solved behind them all. Bethany, present day, still holds that childlike wonder and loves observing everything outdoors from weather patterns to animal psychology/behavior.
After getting married in June 2024, Jake and Bethany chose to live in an off-grid cabin in rural Wisconsin in the summers. They have resilience with absence of modern comfort and hold peace and joy in the Lord. Planting orchards, gardening, fishing, and helping their neighbors on their land - gaining new skills and growing their outdoor passion to bring inspiration to the children!
